Warlowe’s client base stretches across the country and touches a range of industries, including medical, solar, avionics and more. The team also works with some of the area transducer companies, with Wharton calling Happy Valley “a hot bed for transducers.”

Warlowe, a five-year old company started by two electrical engineers who worked together to meet a need they saw in the local market, originated as a side hustle. It has since grown into a bustling venture that brings its smart-industry solution to fields ranging from aerospace to medical equipment to manufacturing automation (and beyond). It’s helping to turn traditional factories into smart factories, transforming the landscape. As one of its co-founders told us, “Smart industry is where this is all going.”

Five-year-old, Happy Valley-based Warlowe is owned by Chris Wharton and Zack Lowe, two electrical engineers who met on the job and saw a need in the local market for individualized electrical engineering expertise. 

“Many companies don’t have the budget to have a full engineering team on staff,” Wharton said. “We wanted to fill in those gaps.”

Bonislawski points to many local tech companies on his client roster as well as local hardware engineering firm Warlowe, who he frequently brings in on client projects, and vice versa.

“My customers are absolutely astounded when I bring Warlowe into a new project. Their design services, and more importantly, customer service is second to none.

Warlowe, LLC was started in 2014 by Penn State engineering alumni Christopher Wharton and Zackary Lowe. As State College natives and residents, the owners have an interest in the local community and small business development. Warlowe was started as an engineering consultation firm with a specific concentration in electronics design and test automation. The business strives to provide fast, effective solutions which range from the facilitation of manufacturing to full turn- key product design.

In its short history, Warlowe has managed to grow a clientele within the Central Pennsylvania region and continues to expand across state lines. Warlowe aims to continue helping businesses in the community by providing them with the services to take their ideas from paper, to prototype to production

The firm’s ultimate mission is to help its local partners succeed and ultimately help Centre County grow its technical market.
